Mroczek :: t.gadomski | t.mirt :: si si (Monotype Records)

Si si – the meeting of half freely improvised, half composed music arranged by the duet of Tomasz Gadomski and Tomek Mirt. We are in the world of analog, electronic music and prepared trumpet sprinkled with acoustic percussion sounds. There are no boundaries, there is only coexistence that gives the shape to that world.

Tomasz Gadomski – musician, playing mainly on electro-acoustic percussion looking for the new ground for them. He experiments with sounds playing solo and with different music projects. He prepares music for films, plays; cooperates with artists and dancers in Poland as well as abroad. He runs workshops for children and adults.

Tomek Mirt – musician and graphic designer, playing with Brasil and the Gallowbrothers Band (ex One Inch Of Shadow) and solo. He works for Cat Sun label and MonotypeRec. He prefers analog electronic, prepared trumpet and guitar as well as field recordings. Mirt made four solo albums: Rain in City of Myrrh and Forget-Me-Not ( 2001 cat sun), Journey through the city or six strange signs in Molnars diary- (2002 cat sun/foxy digitalis), Most (2003 malachit), Oh! You are so naive!(2006 monotyperec.).

Mroczek :: Periskop - Periscopes

"...It is worth of mentioning as when with contact with that unusal man, all things where coming back to their own roots, rebuild their occurrence to metaphysic core, turning back to primordial idea, to turn in this point against her and lean towards those doubtful, risky and dubious regions, which we will call in short here, regions of great heresy. Our heresiarh walked among the things as magnetiser, infecting them and luring with his dangerous spell" Should I call Paulina his victim? She became his apprentice in those days, adept of his theories, a model of his experiments." - Tract about mannequins. Bruno Schulz
Debut album of Polish project PERISKOP. 19 tracks and 53 minuts.
Unconventional release. CD in printed carboard folded in three parts, decorated with works of Stanisław Matsilewich and made with his graphic project. Two copis from four of his works will be added to every copy. CDR with professional printing mounted on the carboard cover with rubber dot. All closed and foiled. Hand-made limited to 100 copies.

Mroczek :: Brandkommando / Cavum Oris - Several Words

Split of the two members of harsh genre, Polish project BRANDKOMMANDO and Bulgarish CAVUM ORIS. Modern times give lot of topics which artists use in their works but "Several Words" discuss things from few ages past. The project showed their visions about inquisition, torturing, opressing and all that the 'saint' inquisitors where practicing. This album is like a test of burned metal!
Over 50 minutes of Power Electronic noises. BRANDKOMMANDO showed more lighter face, more industrial and experimental but not without use of vocals. CAVUM ORIS is hard and kicking power electronics!
Unconventional release in form of a booklet, black cardboard plus printed insert. The CDR with professional printing is inserted in envelope. Everything is closed with red printed cover, hand-made and limited to 99 copies.

Mroczek :: COPH NIA "Qliphothic Phantasmagoria"

“It’s hardly news to any connoisseur of Industrial music that Coph Nia like to cover songs. So far they have quite a cover track record. They’ve transformed The Leather Nun’s punk anthem “Prime Mover” into a brooding, industrial soundscape, and made songs by artists as diverse as Front 242, Bauhaus, Arthur Brown and The Rolling Stones their own.
One danger of covering songs is that you might end up as a covers band. This is especially dangerous if you cover songs by, say, The Rolling Stones, as you might just end up on the rock cover band circuit – playing 'Sweet Home Alabama' in dodgy rock pubs and biker meets in places God has been drinking to forget ever since he created them.
On the other end of the scale, but equally degrading, is to end up as wedding singers. Remember that really unfunny Adam Sandler movie?
If you think that Coph Nia has too much class to end up en either category, well, let’s say you have too much faith in the band. Coph Nia are already a bit too familiar with playing gigs in dodgy pubs, and they’ve even played at a wedding (well, it was my stag party, but it was definitely wedding-related).
So in a desperate attempt to not end up having to provide the soundtrack to bikers picking up underage chicks or obscure uncles doing moves from Saturday Night Fever, Coph Nia have decided to take the demon by the horns, and tried to exorcise the Cover Demon before it consumes them.
The result is this release. This collection of Coph Nia-fied covers including Ozzy Osbourne’s ”Mr Crowley”, the song Mr. Aldenon’s band was born to cover, “Black Sabbath” by the band of the same name, “Sick Things” by Alice Cooper and “Levitation” by psychedelic space rockers Hawkwind.
Hopefully, the exorcism will work. If not, you know where to look for Coph Nia in a few years...
Lord Bassington-Bassington
Little Storping in the Swuff, November 2008

PS: If you need a band for your wedding, Coph Nia can be reached through their website.”

Format: 4 panel digipack
Time: 23:49
Tracklist: 1. Black Sabbath, 2. Sick Thing, 3. Levitation 4. Mr. Crowley
Release date: 03 December 2008
