Remember how the cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis greeted protesters with rubber bullets, tear gas, riot gear, and mass arrests? The decision was made long ago to roll out the red carpet for the republicans and punish any dissent with brutality, arrests, and serious criminal charges. Well, as part of the ongoing effort to assist in helping those who were swept up in arrests during the RNC in fighting their bogus and politically motivated charges, this site (which was once the site for housing protesters) has been converted into a housing site for those who will have to come back to our cities again and again to make court appearances as both Ramsey and Hennepin county continue to press flimsy charges against protesters. If you are interested in learning more or getting involved in other ways, visit the RNC 08 Arrestee Support website.

Welcome to RNC 2008 Arrestee Support Housing Board!
On this site residents of the Twin Cities can show their "Minnesota Nice" and offer up space to house those who were swept up in mass arrests and other illegal police tactics during the RNC. Do you have a spare bed or couch available in your house or apartment that might be available for a visiting friend? An RV or camper sitting in your driveway? Might there be space in your yard to pitch a tent, or some room on your floor for an appreciative out of towner to lay their head at night? Show your support for the hundreds of people from out of town who were arrested in the Twin Cities by sharing a place to stay!

It only takes a few seconds and a valid email address to register as a new user and Offer Housing to an Arrestee, Request a Place to Stay, or Search the Listings.
