25 Juni. Sekitar pk 17.30 WIB, dua aktivis Temu Aktivis Lintas Generasi (Tali Generasi), Jeffri Silalahi dan Musa, ditangkap oleh aparat berpakaian preman di Taman Matraman. Dalam penangkapan ini, para aktivis dikepung oleh belasan mobil. Pukul 20.30 ratusan mahasiswa yang melakukan aksi corat-coret pos polisi di bundaran senayan. Mahasiswa moncoreti pos polisi dengan tulisan "Polisi Pembunuh". Aksi ini dibubarkan polisi dengan tembakan gas air mata. Mahasiswa mundur ke kampus Mustopo. Dua mahasiswa ditangkap.

Temu Aktivis Lintas Generasi 23-25 Mei 2008 Ratusan aktivis dari berbagai kota, seperti dari Bandung, Solo, Malang, Bali, Medan, Jambi, Palembang, Kalimantan Selatan, Yogyakarta, Makassar, Maluku, Aceh, dll berkumpul di Tugu Proklamasi, untuk berkonsolidasi dalam Temu Aktivis Lintas Generasi (Tali Generasi) yang diadakan pada 23-25 Juni 2008.

Two dozen workers at Auckland Airport’s foodcourt staged a lightening strike on Saturday 7 June, in protest at medieval working conditions. The strikers marched through the foodcourt calling for their rights and were applauded by the public. Employers and security tried unsuccessfully to silence the upbeat strikers. The company is a joint venture between HMSC, a mega-corporation with businesses around the world, and Auckland International Airport. The Melbourne Indymedia collective met in February after a long hiatus to discuss its future. We decided that we did not have the energy required to continue the project and that therefore the collective had come to an end.
We are however keen to help others take up the challenge of producing an activist based, participatory news site, whether that be a Melbourne Indymedia, an Australia Indymedia or something all together new. We feel such a space is very much needed.
