| Study: Bush led U.S. to war on 'false pretenses' Hundreds of false statements on WMDs, al-Qaida used to justify Iraq war President Bush and officials in his administration made 935 false statements on Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attacks, according to a new study. WASHINGTON - A study by two nonprofit journalism organizations found that President Bush and top administration officials issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attacks. The study concluded that the statements "were part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses." The study was posted Tuesday on the Web site of the Center for Public Integrity, which worked with the Fund for Independence in Journalism. |

Dick Cheney misled the American people over and over about weapons Iraq supposedly had in order to pull us into a war in which many thousands have died. great. We had coverage
from all the local media. (
One major paper, + local
NBC, CBS, ABC and well.....
FOX interviewed Judy and I
but, as usual burned the
footage ) We had our "Mock
Impeachment Trial" and
"The Tulsa Impeachment
Committee" was mentioned
on two sources. I'm going to
design a t-shirt for the
committee if not the event.
As Cheney's motorcade
pulled in we shouted
"Impeach Cheney First",
interspersed with calls of
"Arrest Him". Lots of fun!

IMPEACH Tom Chelston
Last night several area activists traveled to
Peace House Tulsa and were exposed to a very
intelligent, independent short film talking about
Democracy. The film asks people from several
foreign countries what they think of the USA and
makes some comparisons. The tone is totally
non-confrontational but eye-opening in many
ways.

Campaign Finance
Lobbying and Legislation
The Revolving Door
