W3C at ERCIM is seeking a part-time WEB ACCESSIBILITY AND AGEING CONSULTANT

Job Description

The World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) at the European Research Consortium on Informatics and Mathematics (ERCIM) is seeking a part-time WEB ACCESSIBILITY AND AGEING CONSULTANT. Build networks of contacts interested in Web accessibility in the ageing community, and facilitate participation and contributions of these contacts within WAI Working Groups. Assist with researching and writing a literature review and analysis of the requirements of people with Web accessibility needs due to ageing. Contribute to the development of educational materials related to requirements of people with accessibility needs due to ageing.

  • 24 months contract.
  • Based in Sophia Antipolis, France with the possibility of eWork.

Requirements

Knowledge of Web Accessibility Initiative guidelines, ageing-related accessibility and Web development guidelines, requirements, and literature, and networks of ageing specialists. Familiarity with assistive technology, and ageing and accessibility research communities. Excellent English oral and written communication skills. Ability to research & write reports, develop educational materials, and support a forum where diverse stakeholders can work well together. Minimum two years experience working in a team setting. Minimum university-level diploma; master's degree preferred. Availability to travel.
