Bruce Lawson
Accessibility Task Force Member
Bruce Lawson was brand manager of glasshaus, which produced books on web standards, usability and accessibility. When the company folded, he began consulting and building web sites with the same emphasis as his books. Having been a teacher, in the Accessibility Task Force he’s involved in outreach rather than developing cutting-edge techniques. His interest in web standards is both philosophical and practical; his interest in accessibility is thinly-disguised self-interest, having been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1999. He lives in the UK, and he blogs at www.brucelawson.co.uk.
The Web Standards Project is a grassroots coalition fighting for standards which ensure simple, affordable access to web technologies for all.
