by Sebastian Pipping - Fri, Apr 4th 2008 15:10 PDT

About: uriparser is a strictly RFC 3986 compliant URI parsing library. It is cross-platform, fast, and supports Unicode.

 nut 13.5
by Jim Jozwiak - Fri, Apr 4th 2008 12:21 PDT

About: nut is nutrition software to record what you eat and analyze your meals for nutrient composition. The database included is the latest USDA Nutrient Database for Standard Reference. This database contains values for vitamins, minerals, fats, calories, protein, carbohydrates, fiber, etc., and includes the essential polyunsaturated fats, Omega-3 and Omega-6. Nutrient levels are expressed as a percentage of the Daily Value, the familiar standard of food labeling in the United States, but also can be fully customized. Foods can be added from recipes or food labels, and nutrient intake can be graphed. The program is completely menu-driven and there are no commands to learn.

Changes: The "Record Meals" and "Analyze Meals" analyses now each separately remember how many meals were last analyzed, so that a user could, for example, always look at a single meal on the "Record Meals" analysis, and always look at a couple of weeks of meals on "Analyze Meals", but not have to specify how many meals each time.

Changes: The code was fully converted to a BSD-style-licence, and in the process heavily refactored. The Test::Run::Plugin::TrimDisplayedFilenames plugin has been added to remove components of extremely long paths. This release has full documentation coverage. Some API compatibility was broken.

 Daikon 4.3.5
by Jeff Perkins - Fri, Apr 4th 2008 09:46 PDT

About: Daikon is an implementation of dynamic detection of likely invariants. An invariant is a property (such as "x=2*y+5" or "this.next.prev = this" or "myarray is sorted by <") that holds at a certain point or points in a program. Invariants are often seen in assert statements, documentation, and formal specifications. Invariants can be useful in program understanding and a host of other applications. Daikon runs a program, observes the values that the program computes, and then reports properties that were true over the observed executions. It can detect properties in Java, C, C++, Perl, and IOA programs, in spreadsheet files, and in other data sources.

Changes: This release was enhanced to better support program points that are basic blocks. Some minor enhancements and bugfixes were made, and the documentation was improved.

 Jhead 2.82
by Moritz Barsnick - Fri, Apr 4th 2008 09:22 PDT

About: Jhead is a command line driven utility for extracting digital camera settings from the Exif format files used by many digital cameras. It handles the various confusing ways these can be expressed, and displays them as F-stop, shutter speed, etc. It is also able to reduce the size of digital camera JPEGs without loss of information, by deleting integral thumbnails that digital cameras put into the Exif header. If you need to add Exif support to a program, this is a simple program to cut and paste from. Many projects, including PHP, have reused code from this utility.

Changes: The program was made aware of XMP data to not delete such sections. IPTC handling was slightly improved. The date encoding in EXIF header creation was changed to make it more compatible.
