Welcome to the web pages of the Coordination Action InterLink "International Cooperation Activities in Future And Emerging ICTs" (Contract No. 034051). This project, funded by the Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) Programme of the European Commission, will last 30 months (1/10/2006 - 30/3/2009).

InterLink aims at advancing Europe’s knowledge in a number of critical research areas, at promoting European solutions and knowledge world-wide and at influencing the way research in these areas will evolve internationally. Towards these goals, InterLink supports coordination actions that will enable the European research community to interact with research communities outside Europe in a series of strategic, basic research areas, related to Information Society Technologies (IST) and provides the means and support mechanisms to link European research communities to the best research carried out in other developed countries in these areas.

The Thematic Areas addressed by InterLink are:

• Ambient computing and communication environments
• Intelligent and cognitive systems
