The Mobile Web Best Practices Working Group has released its first draft of the Content Transformation Guidelines. The document provides means for content providers and content transformation proxies to work together and deliver the best possible experience of the Web on a user's device. First publication of W3C API for Device Description Repositories — 9 April 2008
The Device Description Working Group published the first official publication of their Device Description Repository Simple API.
This API will allow content developers to use a uniform set of fonction calls across device descriptions repositories and across languages, when developing content tailored to take into account a range of factors such as screen size, markup language support and image format support.
This first publication serves also as a Last Call Working Draft, inviting the community to send feedback on this document (before May 1st) before its further progress on the W3C Recommendation track.
