On March 20, 2004, anti-war activists gathered across the globe on the first anniversary of the war in Iraq, reiterating the message: “the world still says no to war.” American organizers hoped that their country's involvement in Iraq has not been forgotten, that global anger has not cooled.

shalom alechem (by bring in dee dub) one of my favorite parts of this action was singing hebrew peace songs with jewish youth against the occupation and watching the pro-war kids sing along. i'm not sure if they fully understand hebrew or if they're just ignorant.
