2007

We had a stall on October 20 at Polka Dot Warehouse Party, 38 Station Street, Abbotsford… and did a few other things too!

2006

November 10: We had a benefit gig @ The Wake, Sydney Road, Coburg. With ABC Weapons, Make the Most, Miso-Maniax, The Focus and The Frantics. The gig was a great success. Many thanks to The Wake, the bands, and all who came.

October 20: We had a stall at the Daggy Disco! @ The Wake’s Official All-Systems-Are-Go! Party. (Oh, and the Latin America Solidarity Network Conference, Trades Hall, October 21-22!)

June 8: Barricade organised a film night at Trades Hall in solidarity with US victims of the Green Scare. Thanks to all who attended.

Prior to this, Barricade conducted stalls at a few local events: an Environment & Sustainabilty Festival at LaTrobe University’s Bundoora campus (May 18) and an anti-racism rally in Footscray (May 20).

Barricade often holds stalls at gigs, conferences, forums and street festivals. If you’d like us to hold a stall at your event, please email us with the details.

March 30: We got some new zines. The latest issue of Anarcho-Syndicalist Review (#42/43, Winter 2006) is a special double issue on the IWW’s 100th Anniversary; Black Flag (#225) examines ‘The State of the Movement’; Organise! (#55) is a special international issue and includes an interview with a local anarchist-communist and finally; two issues of a new Canadian journal Upping the Anti (#1 and #2) each examining “three interwoven tendencies which have come to define much of the politics of today’s radical left in Canada: anti-capitalism, anti-oppression, and anti-imperialism”.

Barricade held a stall at a benefit gig for the Black Star collective on March 4, 2006. Thanks to the Black Star for inviting us.
