Funnier in concept I think. It would be a lot funnier if all the tables were occupied with customers and their desktops and there was a line of people with their desktops waiting for table space. I guess that would require 5-10 times more agents, though.

It is interesting, however, that any "passerby" assumes a desktop computer in a public place is a public computer - but not the same assumption of a laptop...

Hilarious and well done, but it does make me appreciate my laptop even more.

I've actually seen someone with a full size computer at a coffee shop in San Francisco.

But I think it was a barrista's computer and the guy working on it was trying to fix something. So it's really not the same.

I'm really impressed that the IE guys were able to find CRTs. I haven't seen one of those 'round these parts in years.

I think I've seen this stunt before on Youtube - though I can't find the link. It was from a few years ago (and may be the same people, who knows), with one guy and a big 1990s vintage computer system into a 'bucks. IIRC, he was kicked out of the store.

Ho-hum. Improv Everywhere is usually more clever than this. Would have been funnier with more agents, older computers, wearing business suits- anything to make it worth the length of the video. The point comes across in the first ten seconds (after they zoom in on the guy supposedly dumbfounded, but who is probably just looking around at what's happening), and the rest is just a snooze.

Good music, though!
