Worcester celebrates International Women's Day

Women Together, a neighborhood group organized out of the Pleasant Street Neighborhood Network Center is holding their First International Women's Day celebration at 10:00 am on Saturday March 8th.

Women Together is organizing a potluck brunch where we will share stories that honor women, and our unity. It will be held at the Pleasant Street Neighborhood Network Center at 301 Pleasant St.
Women Together is a group of women from the Pleasant Street area who are committed to getting to know their neighbors, seeking opportunities for youth and building safe neighborhoods. This group of women first came together three years ago in response to increased violence in the area.

Neighborhood Leaders Launch Campaign Against T&G Trash

Neighborhood leaders have begun a campaign to end the Worcester Telegram & Gazette’s distribution of advertisement circulars on sidewalks and curbs across Worcester. After nearly one year, the T&G is still continuing to litter sidewalks across the city.

Residents who no longer want to be cleaning-up after the T&G
can join the “Stop Unwanted Trash” campaign.

Two Worcester residents arrested for banner drop

As reported in the Telegram & Gazette, two Worcester residents were arrested Thursday for hanging a banner above I-290 reading "Have a Heart, Boycott KFC."
