Women's Circus Info Day for New Members

3 Feb 2008 - 13:00
3 Feb 2008 - 16:00
Etc/GMT+11

Each year, a new group of women of all ages, shapes and sizes run away to the Women's Circus!

Women's Circus

They do a special introductory program called the "New Women's Program" that gives you a basic introduction to as many aspects of the Women’s Circus as possible, and that pays special attention to building trust and establishing safe ways of working. This group also is also great for forming friendships and increasing your confidence to try other, more specialised classes.

If you're interested in joining the circus, come to our Information Day on Sunday February 3rd from 1 - 4pm at Drill Hall, 395 Barkly St, West Footscray. For a map, directions and public transport information see our website http://womenscircus.org.au/?page_id=16

You can check out the training space, meet the New Women’s trainers, meet other participants and ask any questions. The Information Day is open to anyone so if you have any friends who are interested in coming, please let them know they’re welcome!

If you're interested in joining but can't come, email info@womenscircus.org.au before February 11th.

About Women's Circus

Women's Circus was founded in Melbourne in 1991. Presently, our 150 members are aged between eighteen and sixty-five and come from many walks of life to learn circus skills as a hobby, a fulfillment of a long-held dream to "run away and join the circus", to meet people and make friends, to participate in the arts in a community context, and/or to reconnect with their body.

We hold around 13 different circus classes every week, put on an annual performance, and extend our training to the wider community through our Outreach Program.
