For now, the Internet lets radical academics and activists bypass mainstream gatekeepers to discuss critical views and organize politically. It expands our audience beyond the few who read academic or political journals. And it allows us to distribute information quickly.
On the other hand, we should remember that the Internet provides more power to those who already have too much. This is true of most technology, even when it seems useful for short-term progressive purposes. So one goal is to raise issues.
Another goal is interaction. Please email your comments. You can also make comments on my blog, which has more informal, spontaneous personal/political observations.
Throughout this site, I offer more argument than data. Take it for what it is. Reflecting my shifting personal/political interests, some parts of the site are more current than others.
If what I write interests you, subscribe to Fox Writes, my free distribution list.
Some of what I post on this site is explored in other ways on my blog and even on my photo site.
