Program Policy

3CR was established to provide a voice for communities and issues denied access to the mass media, particularly the working class, women, Indigenous people.

3CR Programs are either Station Programs (initiated by individuals or groups who approach the station) or Affiliate Programs (presenters come from one organisation whose interests they represent).

Some of the affiliated organisations are: Vivaids, Hepatitis C Council, Vic Jazz Club, Federation of Community Legal Centres, Latin American Information Centre, Songlines Aboriginal Music Corporation, Anarchist Media Institute, CFMEU Building Division and the Sustainable Energy and Anti-Uranium Service.

How you can get a Program

Individuals and organisations from the community are invited to submit a programming proposal to 3CR's Programming Sub-Committee.

• Applicants are advised to listen in to 3CR, consider the merits of their proposal in terms of 3CR's programming aims and current programming grid and contact the Programming Coordinator before submitting their proposal.
• If you decide to proceed the Programming Coordinator will give you a Program Proposal Form which will then be considered by the Programming Sub-Committee.
• If your program is approved you will be contacted, training and a timeslot will be organised
