CHICOPEE - A Chicopee High School teacher said he was placed on paid administrative leave from his job on Wednesday, one day after he demonstrated outside the courthouse during the arraignment of a friend accused of spray painting anti-military graffiti on the high school.
Gary R. Sroka, a social studies teacher for seven years, called the move punishment for his public opposition to a school policy that allows military recruiters on campus.
