Workday this Saturday to finish painting, sanding, and related tasks in the soon-to-beopened space downstairs.

Again, workday Saturday, 12/30, starting noon(ish) till the evening, at 1st floor CAMP, 3026 Cherokee St. If folks want to start earlier, that's by all means encouraged.

Tasks:
- Touch-up painting on 3022 ceiling
- Sand down drywall mud on 3024 ceiling, where needed
- Paint 3024 ceiling
- Replace plastic sheeting on front transom windows in 3022

SUNDAY PEACE VIGIL - A Time to Remember the Human Toll of this War
St. Francis Xavier (College) Church, Grand and Lindell - 7:00-7:30 PM

This vigil is an ongoing place for opponents of the war on Iraq to make their opposition visible. There is a time of silence, an open mike for sharing perspectives and readings, music, and announcements of upcoming events. Some vigilers hold large colorful banners, others hold candles and signs, while others leaflet cars stopped in traffic as people drive to Fox, Black Rep, Powell, and Sheldon performances. People of all faiths and persuasions are welcome.

The St. Louis Animal Rights Team (START) would like to invite everyone to their New Year's Day Vegan Brunch at Barristers (barristers-clayton. com) in Clayton from 1:00pm-3:00pm, located at 15 N. Meramec Ave (Clayton MO, 63105). For just $15 an all-you-can-eat vegan buffet including scrambled tofu with veggies, pancakes, French toast, Bonnie's famous vegan "cheese" blintzes, breakfast potatoes, homemade fresh baked goods, veggie sausage, coffee and juice. All proceeds benefit animals. START is an all volunteer, 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to animal rights.
