Adult Ed Student Claims Bigotry Underlies Ouster from Class

A student translating English to Spanish left the Beginning Electronic Keyboard class at the Schott Center with another who spoke only Spanish, contending that bigotry was the cause and calls for a boycott of that class.

Pro-War Diane Feinstein, What Are The Alternatives?

Diane Feinstein has directly profiteered from the U.S. imposed misery she voted for in Iraq. Her husband, Richard Blum, is a billionaire investor that together with CEO Ronald Tutor own investment companies that hold 75% of the voting stock in a company called Perini. On March 12, 2004 Perini was awarded a $500,000,000 contract for rebuilding the electrical infrastructure of southern Iraq. Feinstein is profiting from the U.S. bombing of the Iraqi infrastructure as well as its inefficient rebuilding by private U.S. contractors.

October 20-22 : The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation will team up with various partner NGOs to host the second "Think Outside the Bomb" national conference at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The conference will bring together high school students, college students, recent college alumni, and young non-profit professionals from throughout the western United States for a series of participatory discussion panels, workshops, and skills trainings on building a nuclear-free world.
