WSIS @ PH
FMA embarked on a project to open up discussions on WSIS in the Philippine context. What is its relevance to Philippine realities? How can WSIS enhance our ICT policy development? These are some issues which FMA brings to the limelight through discussion papers, workshops and multi-media presentations. As a kick-off, a policy workshop was held last November 27-28. It brought together key people from civil society, the private sector and government.


Knowledge Networking for Empowerment and Development
The Foundation for Media Alternatives organized a multi-stakeholder regional workshop in information and communication agendas across Asia last March.


Gender Evaluation Methodology (GEM)
The Foundation for Media Alternatives was chosen as one of the nine testers in Asia to integrate gender analysis into the evaluation of information and communication technology initiatives called the "Gender Evaluation Methodology (GEM)".


Martus Project
The Foundation for Media Alternatives (FMA) was formally engaged by The Asia Foundation (TAF) in January 22, 2003 to be the Technical Support Group (TSG) for the Martus Project implementation in the Philippines.


Country Wide Area Network Project
The Country Wide Area Network Project (CODEWAN), a joint project of the PLDT Foundation, Foundation for Communication Initiatives (FOCI) and the Foundation for Media Alternatives (FMA) which provides Free E-mail for civil society organizations and Web Hosting of Community Sites, websites of CSOs who have grouped together according to communities of practice to allow online information collaboration.
