G8 Police get it wrong .......YET AGAIN !!!!!

Edinburgh yesterday saw the latest in a series of failed prosecutions of G8 cases when G. E. was acquitted of some of the most serious trumped-up charges so far. The antiquated law of “mobbing and rioting” was rolled out on this occasion, with the accusation that G. had been involved in police assault and incitement to riot. The charge carries with it a maximum 5-year prison sentence.

Eviction of Asylum Seekers Stopped!

Presure on the Glasgow City Council has resulted in the eviction of the Bajaj family being stopped - for now. But the struggle continues.

Mr Bajaj, a Sikh, fled from Afghanistan after his eldest son was murdered. But his claim for asylum has been rejected, so Mr Bajaj is no longer eligible for asylum seeker support, is unable to pay his rent, and Glasgow City Council have moved to evict the family.

Within hours of launching an appeal for solidarity with the Bajaj family, dozens of emails and faxes were sent to the Immigration Minister and to the Director of Social Work at Glasgow City Council. Thanks to the efforts of supporters, the eviction, due on 16th March, has been called off - for now. A victory!

go go go!.jpg
A low key, tactical approach to the Army Recruiting Office in Glasgow was taken today by the Glasgow Kiss Brigade of the Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army (CIRCA).
The Rebel Clowns arrived to find the Army Recruiting Office closed down (tip-off) so they fished along to the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and other sundry ‘services’ shop a convenient couple of doors down, where they spent a lovely time playing games on the pavement outside, to the delight of local people and a couple of (non)local cops sent to monitor their actions
