Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov answer questions of journalists during his news conference in Kyiv Jan. 25. Ukraine's prime minister warned that the government might consider shutting down all industrial production nationwide to decrease natural gas use, a drastic proposal that appeared aimed at quieting Russian complaints that Kyiv was tapping into gas meant for other freezing European nations.
