Planners of a "spiritual walk for peace" to be held on Sunday,
January 30, in Oklahoma City, invite people of every faith, reason
and conscience to participate. Nathaniel Batchelder, Director of
Oklahoma City's Peace House, said the walk will publicly express
grief about the continuing violence and suffering resulting from the
war in Iraq. "The walk also launches the Season For Nonviolence in
Oklahoma City, 64 days from January 30 through April 4, commemorated
around the world," he said.
Participants in the walk should gather at 2 p.m., Sunday afternoon,
January 30, at the Episcopal Center, at NW 9th and Robinson, in
Oklahoma City. Live music and tables of information will welcome
and inform the gathering.
