Canada's 1st Joint Police/Military Training Facility Under Construction |

On the west side of Windsor an 18 acre, 13.5 million dollar joint police/military training facility is being erected. The facility marks the first time in Canadian history that the police and military have shared a building. The deal was sealed between the City of Windsor and the National Defense Department, seemingly without contestation. |

I checked out your recently updated indymedia site and found only one article about Jamal Akkal the Gaza Strip- born Canadian citizen. He has been imprisoned in Israel since the November 1st. |

On October 1st, a small delegation from the University of Windsor attended the Campus Sustainability Conference hosted by the Sierra Youth Coalition. The Conference, held at McGill and Concordia University campuses, brought together one hundred and seventy five student environmental activists from across North America. The conference was designed as a forum for students to workshop their communities’ experiences and programs working for environmental awareness and change |
