Students attend intimate evening
with The Indigo Girls and
Winona La Duke
Students who have been active in Native and
environmental issues from UW-LaCrosse attended an
intimate evening concert and speaking tour featuring The
Indigo Girls and Winona La Duke. The evening was a
benefit for Honor the Earth, a non profit organization
dedicated to supporting grassroots Native organizations
and activists fighting for environmental justice and the
preservation of indigenous knowledge. To learn

storing at Prairie Island. Xcel is now in the process of
trying to convince the Minnesota Legislature to allow even more nuclear waste to be stored at Prairie

addressed LaCrosse Citizens at a die-in outside the U.S. Post
Office. Billy is a representative of Veterans
Against the Iraq War, Vietnam Veterans Against the War
