"Did Someome said FOOD?!"

by Mark Oath
Punks,Queers,Vagrants,Homeless,Junkies get together 2 celebrate what can only be called d "Paper Bag" phenomenon. A distribution of goods to the disaffected youths in Crossing, Calamba in Dec 5 2004.

An outburst of frenzy came in when the local markets- as affected by the typhoon in the past couple of days-shelled out sacks of Corn,Rice, and Vegetable of what can only be considered one of the most festive event in punk counterculture community in the country. Another typical feeding by the poor slobs who refuse to play the role of charity group in giving away "Free Food" to the community- more immediate priority rather than taking measures by a typical protest and publicity..

The group of initiators dont know what to do with the excess of supply- the local market donated not only vegetales but poultry, fish, pork & Eggs..?!

The collective space is also facing evictions and legal threats.

Socialist Workers Seize The Labor Department

by Manila Indymedia

The militant workers seiged the Department of Labor office in Fort Santiago Manila last week, during the Bonifacio Day celebration to demand the labor secretary Patricia Sto. Tomas be kicked-out from office together with her bloody Anti-Labor policy "Assumption of Jurisdiction (AJ)".

The AJ was believed to be the prime spell that ordered the authorities to kill the hapless striking workers of Hacienda Luisita, "the back-to-work order of the Secretary of Labor became the “license to kill” for the AFP and PNP" says Solidarity of Filipino Workers(BMP) in a statement. Farm Workers Strike in a Sugar plant, Brutally Dispersed

by Manila Indymedia

CENTRAL LUZON, Philippines- A month old farm-workers strike in Hacienda Luisita Sugar Plantation in Tarlac was brutally dispersed by the Philippine authorities, leaving seven people dead and hundreds wounded while dozens more were arrested, yesterday.

According to reports; from the very first start since the farm-workers had erected their picket line after a deadlock in Collective Bargaining Agreement between the management and the workers union, the workers received continuous harassment from the local authorities and hired strikebreakers. But the workers valiantly stood their ground as the numerous canisters of tear gas and endless nights of police violence tried to dismantle the workers picket.

But last night at 8p.m., the Philippine authorities brutally crushed the workers defenses by directly shooting live bullets against the striking workers who were only demanding for social benefits and job securities.

The Hacienda Luisita- a big sugar plantation in Tarlac, which is owned by the family of the former Philippine President Corazon Aquino has a numerous cases of anti-workers policy including illegal mass lay-offs and indiscriminate retrenchment of labor leaders and union members.

The Former President was also a notorious anti-farm worker during her presidency; she was the one who is responsible of the bloody massacre in Mendiola infront the President’s palace that caused several hundreds of farmers killed while they were peacefully protesting against the dubious Agrarian Reform.
