Beware highway contractors pushing fuel tax increases
Why stealth highway contractors' fuel tax increase proposal will make roads worse, not better
The highway industry is back to its deceptive PR campaigns to get fuel tax funds into their own pockets. Tom Elmore of the North American Transportation Institute addresses the issue and offers some better ways to pay for Oklahoma's highway needs. A clue to the solution: "An 18-wheeler operating at its heaviest legal gross weight inflicts pavement damage equivalent to 9,600 automobiles -- yet, in Oklahoma since 1987, that rig has paid 3 cents per gallon less state fuel tax than an auto pays."

A September 2003 hearing in Tulsa was one of several held across the country where community members testified about their own experiences with racial profiling. As in many states, Oklahoma's profiling laws were seen as providing insufficient protection against this pervasive human rights violation. Refuse and Resist honors first Iraq War veteran to claim CO status

Vigils for Camilo have drawn supporters from Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida and New Mexico. CodePink and other groups have adopted his cause.

What to Do if the FBI Drops By Your Home or Office
US Government's COINTELPRO - Still Undead
The stinking corpse of the FBI's infamous "Counter-Intelligence Program", or COINTELPRO, which was used from the 1940s through the 1970s against Communists, Anarchists, Civil Rights Activists and sundry other decent working-class militants, and which was "allegedly" discontinued in 1971, is fully risen from the grave once again.
